Our mission is to know Jesus Christ, and make Him known.
We seek to
1) make disciples throughout our city, the United States, and to the ends of the earth,
2) incorporate them into Christ-centered, community- focused congregations and
3) mobilize them for active involvement in a missionary effort designed to plant Great Commission churches among both unreached and responsive peoples worldwide.

Our Senior Pastor
The Rev. Dr. Wallace Mang was born and grew up in Hong Kong. After committing his life to Christ in high school, he responded to the Lord's call to serve Him in full-time ministry by beginning his seminary training at Hong Kong Overseas Bible Seminary. He later received his Master of Divinity from China Graduate School of Theology in Hong Kong and his Master of Arts in Theological Studies along with a Doctor of Ministry at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida.
Pastor Mang served in Hong Kong Tsung Tsin Mission from 1984 until he came to the US to continue his studies in 1994. In 1995, he joined the Christian & Missionary Alliance and began serving in the Tampa Bay Area, Florida. Pastor Mang and his wife Angel, daughter Kawai, and son Tinho moved to the Los Angeles Area in July 2004 to serve as our Senior Pastor. The entire Mang family was born in Hong Kong.

He enjoys studying and learning the Bible and theology and listening to passionate Christ-centered Gospel-Driven expositional preaching. He is also a big time San Antonio Spurs fan and loves basketball. His heroes in the faith are John Calvin, Jonathan Edwards, John MacArthur, and John Piper. His hero outside of the faith is Admiral Yi Soon Shin. He has been our English Ministry pastor since the November of 2009. You can check out his blog at www.nomocondemnation.blogspot.com.

Our History
In 1992, the Orange County Chinese Alliance Church merged with the Whittier Christian Alliance Church and New Life Christian Alliance Church (NLCAC) was born. The Christian Education building broke ground in 1994 and was completed in 1995 to provide classrooms and nurseries for children as well as a conference room to conduct church business meetings. The entire Sanctuary was renovated in 2002 to include new sound and lighting systems as well as PowerPoint projection.
New Life offers two worship services on Sundays: one conducted in English and the other in Mandarin Chinese. Our English congregation mostly consists of young Asians as well as adults both Asian and Caucasian who've discovered that in Christ there is no ethnicity. Our Chinese congregation includes people from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Occasionally, we also found ourselves providing a spiritual home for future missionaries who come to learn Chinese culture before going to the field. |
