Staring Sunday, February 5, 2012 the English adult Sunday school classes will join together to devote the first Sunday of each month to prayer.  Classes will gather in the multipurpose room for a devotional lesson, followed by sharing and prayer together.

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” – Romans 12:12 (ESV)

The English adult and high school Sunday School classes will be joining together to work through Christianity Explored – a gospel outreach tool.  The CE class will be held in the multipurpose room each Sunday at 11:15 a.m.

“In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 4:4-6 (ESV)

We will be participating in World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine event this year to raise money as well as awareness for world hunger.  We will be holding our famine event on March 30-31.  All are encouraged to get involved by either fasting, praying or donating.

“‘For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’  Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?
