The desire of our leadership team is to see New Life glorify God in worship, encourage and build each other up, and reach out and serve the needs of the local community to the best of its ability.
Senior Pastor Andy Noch was an atheist in college who was converted to Christ by reading the Gospel of John. Since then, he has planted two churches, served as a missionary to Ethiopia, earned three graduate degrees including a doctorate in ministry, and currently oversees our English worship services. He plays five instruments, loves to travel, and always enjoys having coffee with people and getting to know them better. He is married to Suzannah and they have three adult children.
Pastor Andrew Chen recently accepted the call to be our Chinese pastor and is bringing great excitement to our congregation. God had his hand on Andrew’s life from the moment of his birth as his survival from premature complications was truly a miracle of God. He earned a Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the School of Medicine at Emory University. He worked in the secular world but felt God was calling him into full-time ministry. This led him to earn a Master of Divinity degree and is currently working on his second Ph.D. at Logos Evangelical Seminary. He and his wife, Tiffany, have two teenage children.
Elder Sek Yee Chang immigrated from Hong Kong in 1969. He received Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in 1980 and have been serving the local church since, first the Orange County Chinese Alliance Church (OCCAC), then the New Life Christian Alliance Church (NLCAC) and was elected to be an Elder in 2000.
He was a Systems Engineer with Raytheon Company when he retired in 2006. He is married to Angelia Chang and they have 3 children: Daniel, Nathan, and Janice and two grandchildren.
Elder Timothy Pang was born in Hong Kong. He received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord when he was in the sixth grade. He came to the U.S. in 1986. He and his wife, Rebecca, were married in 1997 and have one son, Daniel and one daughter, Grace.
He has attended New Life since 1997 and loves teaching the Bible in small groups and Sunday School. He works at Logos Evangelical Seminary as Accounting and Administration Manager.
Timothy’s passions are evangelism and caring. In his free time, Timothy enjoys swimming and eating at In-and-Out Burger.
Elder Jesse Jen immigrated from Taiwan in 1978. He accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in 2007 here at New Life Church. In May 2018, he graduated from Talbot Seminary with a Master’s degree in Biblical Exposition. His passion is teaching God’s word and loves seeing it impact people’s lives.
In 1998, he received a Master’s degree in Management Information System (MIS) at Claremont Graduate School. He was an Information System manger with American Honda Company when he retired in 2015 after 30 years of service.
He loves to travel with his wife, Sarah, and has four adult children.
Elder David Wang immigrated to the U.S. from Taiwan in 1971. He was born again while in College and has worshipped and served in different churches in Taiwan and in the U.S. In the early 1980, he participated in the incorporation and the church building project of a new church in southern California and later served in that church for over 20 years until he joined New Life in 2005.
He is a California registered civil engineer who is now retired after working for the Los Angeles County, Department of Public Works for 30 years. He is married to his wife, Linda, and they have 2 sons and 3 grandchildren.
Youth Minister Patrick Lapp gave his life to Christ at an early age and received the call to full-time, vocational ministry at the age of 15. After graduating from high school, he followed the Lord’s leading to attend Moody Bible Institute in Spokane, WA where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Exposition. It was in Spokane that he met and married his wife, Kaitlyn. He is currently getting his Master of Divinity degree at Talbot Seminary. Patrick loves getting together with people and hearing their stories.
